Celeros announces EzSANFiler, low cost integrated block and file level storage appliances based on its popular EzSAN Storage Area Network (SAN) and EzNAS Networked Attached Storage (NAS) Series for the SMB market.

Redwood City, Calif., January 8, 2007 —Celeros Corporation, a leading supplier of high performance and affordable Networked Storage appliances today announced the addition of EzSANFiler Series to its popular EzSAN and EzNAS Series.

By combining the simplicity of a NAS system, with performance of SAN, and scalability and reliability built into Celeros common platforms, EzSANFiler’s easy to manage appliances lower the   Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for customers large and small.

EzSANFiler allows Celeros customers to consolidate block-level SAN storage services with Network file systems from either Microsoft's Common Information File System (CIFS) or Unix/Linux/Apple Network File System (NFS) into a single platform.  Servers running applications that require block level services (such as MS Exchange and data bases) and those requiring file services now can use the same flexible and scalable high performance appliance for their storage requirements, thereby eliminating the need for separate storage devices.

EzSANFiler comes in two flavors. XD series is Linux based and XF series is based on Microsoft® Windows Storage Server R2 and both are available on all Celeros SATA II and SAS Platforms in a variety of form factors:

  • X23 is 2U high with 12 SATA II drives and up to 9TB of capacity
  • X23S is 2U high with 12 SAS/SATA II drives and up to 9TB of capacity
  • X34S is 3U high with 16 SAS/SATA II drives and up to 12TB of capacity
  • X56 is 5U high with 24 SATA II drives and up to 18TB of capacity
  • X810 is 8U high with 40 SATA II drives and up to 30TB of capacity
  • X512 is 5U high with 48 SATA II drives and up to 36TB of capacity
  • X34SJ is 3U high SAS JBOD Expansion and 16 SAS/SATA II drives and up to 12TB of capacity
