Celeros Launches EzSAN Line of Low Cost IP SAN (iSCSI) Appliances for SMB

Redwood City, Calif., April 23, 2005 — Celeros Corporation® today announced the launch
of EzSAN™, a new family of low cost iSCSI and SATA RAID-based IP SAN Appliances to provide small
and medium businesses (SMB) the benefits of consolidation and centralization of SAN at affordable,
market breaking prices.
The first step in Celeros' promise of "bringing SANity to storage costs", EzSAN™ is meant to
bring the advantages of Storage Area Networks (SAN) to the masses by delivering on the promises of
iSCSI. In its first incarnation, EzSAN™ is comprised of two appliances.
EzSAN XR11 is targeted for general-purpose
storage needs, making it ideal for disk-to-disk backup, departmental, remote office, email, document,
and compliance driven archive storage applications. XR11 comes in a 1U, 19" rack mountable chassis
with 4 hot swappable SATA bays and up to 1 terabyte of raw storage capacity in its initial release.
Future releases of this product will increase this capacity to 2 terabytes. EzSAN XR11 supports RAID
levels 0, 1, 5 and 10 and comes with redundant hot swappable cooling, built-in Dual Gigabit Ethernet
and 1 gigabyte of cache as standard.
EzSAN XR23 is ideal for primary block level
storage for high performance servers or clusters, Disk-to-Disk or Disk-to-Disk-To-Tape back up storage,
email and vital business document archive storage, and regional/central back up storage for remote
offices. XR23 is housed in a 2U, 19" rack mountable chassis with 12 hot swappable SATA RAID disk bays
and can support up to 3 terabytes of raw disk capacity in its initial release. Future releases of this
product will increase its capacity to 6 terabytes. EzSAN XR23 supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 10 and 50
and comes with redundant hot swappable power and cooling, built-in Dual Gigabit Ethernet and 1 gigabyte
of cache as standard.
The EzSAN™ product line is managed by an easy to use, web browser-based administrative tool.
