Initiator Support
XL Series supports a variety of client initiators running on many popular OS platforms.
Adaptive Load Balancing
Adaptive Load Balancing enhances data throughput by automatically routing data through alternative
paths.
Multiple Snapshots with Scheduling
An immediate 'Point in Time' image of a Logical Volume can be created while the application access is
uninterrupted.
Up to 100 scheduled or on demand Snapshots can be created.
This feature allows for an easy recovery from accidental deletion or modification of data or a
malicious virus or worm attack.
Network Fault Tolerance
This assures greater reliability by providing a secondary network interface, which automatically
takes over if the primary network interface fails.
Security Features
Client access is secured through Challenge Response Handshake Protocol (CHAP).
Management access uses Encrypted Admin Access (Secure Socket Layer) and is password protected.
Our LUN Masking feature presents Logical Volumes only to those servers that have been granted access
and prevents others from seeing the volume.
IP Security (IPsec) is a standard for securing Internet Protocol (IP) communications by encrypting
and/or authenticating all IP packets. It provides security for iSCSI connections across intranets and
the Internet.
UPS Support
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) eliminates the effects of a temporary power outage and provides
safe shutdown without loss of data in case of a power failure. The UPS device can be connected by
a serial cable to the appliance. |
