Initiator Support
Our XR Series supports a variety of client initiators running on many popular OS platforms.
Lower TCO with Appliance Form Factor
EzSAN brings down the total cost of ownership of storage assets by providing simple to setup,
configure and manage appliances. These appliances integrate all the latest technologies such as RAID,
SATA, Gigabit Ethernet, high performance processors, as well as iSCSI, IP and storage management
software in one package to deliver a unique value to IT organizations that need tons of storage at
reasonable prices.
Powerful Graphical User Interface
Accessed through the web and secured with password protection, the graphical user interface is
simple, yet powerful. It allows for complete configuration and management of the appliance including
setting up the network interfaces, creating user credentials and access lists, LUN creation and
assignments, as well as the management of the RAID controller(s).
Multiple RAID Arrays
Our XR Series allows for the creation of multiple RAID arrays within each system to suit application
requirements. Allocate portions of the storage capacity to create RAID 10 for a complete redundant and
high performance environment and assign RAID 50 to the rest of the storage to maximize performance while
balancing storage utilization and redundancy.
Security Features
Client access is secured through Challenge Response Handshake Protocol (CHAP) and admin access is
password protected. The LUN Masking feature presents Logical Volumes only to those servers that have
been granted access and prevents others from seeing the volume. 'Credentials' allow grouping of
servers/initiators that have the same privileges. The combination of Credentials and incoming network
interface and/or TCP port allows for a secure and unique view of the storage where awareness of volume
remains limited to the Credential group members.
Cluster Support
Intended for applications such as databases that can run in cluster configuration, our Cluster
Support feature allows the sharing of volumes.
Network Fault Tolerance
This assures greater reliability by providing a secondary network interface, which automatically
takes over if the primary network interface fails.
